Wind up surly 😂 if not madness, I’ve never seen anyone cut a board in half round a pipe in 29 years at it

Never seen this before 25 year laying floor s . Should be notching from the back of the pipe. What happens when the join springs in a few months 🤔

Chris Heeps :
Instead of cutting through the whole board why not drill your hole, 45 degree either side and glue the peace back in behind the pipe. Then theres no risk of that join lifting in future.

Why would you not cut a check out at a 22.5 degrees then finish it was a rose cover and not cut the full board ? Bc by time that cut will move and won’t look as good as it dose

Calvin Duffton :
Make the board land half on the pipe, measure centre of pipe, click both boards together, drill out the hole and fit, you then use the tongue and groove edge instead of putting a cut through the board
