So… question… I keep meaning to ask OB. NSAID use is contraindicated usually, so why is low dose okay? Is it the dosage or just the weight of pros vs. cons? Just curious because I’ve had three

My doctor started me on it at 12 weeks, seems like a no brainer - I’d much prefer the nice little orange flavored aspirin than pre-eclampsia! Does BP meds help prevent pre-e?

I’m supposed to start but I’m concerned because I have to have another csection. Will this make me bleed more during my surgery. I’m scared about that. I also just saw videos on AFE and now I have an

My best friend lost her baby at 38 weeks due to undetected pre eclampsia. I was more than happy to take it

I had a placental Abruption at 33wks. But healthy pregnancy, no pre-eclampsia, no GD. Only thing was that I had Covid around the time that it happened. Makes me think I should try this next pregnancy

I had bariatric surgery before pregnancy and my doctor decided that the risk of ulcers was worse than preclampsia. I also had my blood pressure taken often throughout the pregnancy, as I was

So I’m really confused. Does it prevent or decrease the risk of pre-e developing?

If you didn’t take it with your first pregnancy and never had BP issues should you still take it in your subsequent pregnancies??

Wife ended up with Pre-e both pregnancies. Took baby aspirin and all that. Guess some people are just more prone to it 😢

Does it actually prevent it? Or just mask the high blood pressure?

My doctor just didn’t explain this to me sufficiently. She was like “well start you on aspirin.” And I was like “oh, why? I was hoping not to take anything?” And she snapped at me “well you can do what you want but it’s recommended to prevent preeclampsia.” I was pregnant for the first time, had no idea what that was, just wanted it explained to me. Made an appointment with an NP and she actually explained it to me.

I’m diabetic and had high BP with my first so my OB went ahead and had me start 1 a day to help lower my risk for preeclampsia!
