It’s a ball! The pitcher must cast the ball so that it “crosses the plate at a certain height” to be considered in play for the batter. As interesting as this is, it’s a ball every time it’s thrown!

I completely understand that the ball can go around the player and still be a strike..however, the ball literally hits the casing holding up the “strike” zone. At what point would it be a ball then 🤔
