Overpacking is not a thing when evacuating from a hurricane. Take everything. 1-4 days may very easily turn into 2 weeks or more. ESP a cat 4. Lived thru Ivan and it’s bad

You can never overpack when you leave for a hurricane!! We take a good bit of clothes & anything important we don’t want to lose (pictures, important paperwork, keepsakes, etc)

South louisiana here 🙋🏻♀️when they tell me to go I’m GONE. I don’t see the appeal of sitting in the dark with no AC or running water for a week. That’s just me though

i don't live in an area with a lot of dangerous weather so i don't really have experience with this but not evacuating when you are told to seems like such an unnecessary risk to me. hope ur safe!!

As someone who lives on the East Coast in Canada and deals with a lot of hurricanes, where do y’all go for evacuation? I’ve never left. The major hurricane I experienced last was Miss Fiona, and homegirl almost took out my window lol.
