Earth’s gravity pooled all the liquid onto one side. That’s got to be why right?

kinda grim how we have part of Theia's mangled corpse constantly circling us, still covered in the planetary equivalent of bloodstains

How sure are they? That there was a volcano? And billion years ago? Or just a hypothesis?

Could the Earth’s gravity have pulled on the lava like the moon pulls on our oceans? Could that be why the side facing us had these massive lava basins?

i’m pretty sure i was taught gravity is what makes the planets round they say some gravity is on the moon so how much gravity does it take to make a round planet

not don't why just this side? the earth's tides are controlled by the moon, the earth has larger gravity so would pull liquid magma towards it. surely it's that simple

since the moon is tidally locked with earth, wouldnt the magma have pooled towards the side facing the earth? hence the darker bits in the one side?

moon never hit the earth 🌎 it was like all moons out there they travelled with the plants and got caught by gravity do the numbers if it hit earth at speed earth would have been move way out into spa

always love remembering how volatile the universe is, so intense to think that a hard reset of planet Earth could literally happen any time

what about the gravitational pull of the earth pulling the lava this side like the moon does with the sea

Just saw a video that if the moon had an ocean the water would pool on the side facing us. Why would lava not do the same? The gravity of earth would pull the lava to the earth side 🤷‍♂️
