My power was out for a full week and when I got my bill it was twice as much as I normally paid per month. Like HOW is that possible I’m not using any power for an entire week.

2021 freeze we asked for a refill on our natural gas, 4 weeks before. they wouldn't come fill us up until 2 weeks after the freeze. we went over a month with no heating, no cooking (gas stove)

Oh man. I lived through that in DFW. It was as bad as they say. At ine point our home had 4 families crashing at our place. We were luckily on a hospital grid.

The info no one discusses: natural gas stations couldn’t get supplied bc of icy roads. There is literally no on asking why the sanding and de-icing trucks were not being deployed hour 1 to start work

I live in an area where Ercot wasn't in the area, have a local power plant, and we were perfectly fine. No delivery trucks due to snow but most of us had electricity. I kind of agree that it sounds like it was on purpose to a point.

I’m in the part of the state where we were at 0% outages. We were on the national grid at that time. Then the very next year we moved over to ERCOT 🙃

I was going through basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio when this happened. No power so no heat, and pipes burst so no running water. It was a very miserable time in my life.

I lived in Brownwood tx at the time, we couldn't walk barefoot in our kitchen without getting frostbite, our lil house didn't have good enough insulation and was creeping cold in from under the sink

Somehow my apartment had power the whole time, but I was stuck inside the entire time and couldn’t go to the store or anything, and I also had to house a couple friends who’s power did go out..

we thankfully were able to crash at a family members house who had a wood fireplace. my husband was running around the city pulling people out of ditches and wrapping burst pipes... it was crazy.

i was living in hays county at the time, our power was affected as well and i thank god that our house had good insulation because even then it was freezing. 3 hrs no power then 1-2 hrs power on n off

I had never been more thankful I was in a co-op electrical grid at the time. I ended up with more than 30 people staying at my house and a zoo of pets. But we were the only ones with power 🤷♀️
