@corporate.era: Studying electrical engineering was a journey, I have never been the smartest person in class, never had the highest grade, never had a “nerdy” hobby, every day of university. I was wondering what I was doing there. Why electrical engineering, why don’t I look like the others? Why don’t I have the same hobbies as the others? Why doesn’t it come so naturally to me? Many times I talk to myself that maybe I was in the wrong classroom. Maybe I was somewhere I wasn’t supposed to fit. But weeks and months and years have passed, and I got my degree and I worked and I got better and better and better, and I redefined electrical engineering for myself. I broke the image that I had that an electrical engineer should look or sound a certain type of way. And it’s a lesson that I’ve taken with me in life and I apply whenever I’m starting something new: it’s normal to be bad at something, but it’s only by doing it that you’re gonna get good at it. #mindsetiskey#selfconfidence#expat#femaleengineer#womeninstem#womenintech
