@missnearingsmontessori: Its not actually gaslighting, calm down 😉 #teachersoftiktok #preschoolteacher #kindergartenteacher #montessoriteacher #montessori #behaviormanagement #classroommanagement
I tried this. One kid said no and ran away and another laughed. This year my class is…. Let’s just say… BAD! Never in my years of teaching have I had a class, like I do this year.

"I had a thought, no wait never mind, that's an older kid skill. Oh you want to try it? I'm not sure you can do it, though." This is not where I thought my dreams classes would take me.

If a child is running everywhere then give them some heavy work, get them to push on walls, take them outside to run freely. They have a sensory need and you should find a way to cater to it.

When I want my students to stay quiet, I tell them "I want you to be sooo quiet...it's almost like your not even here or invisible. And when your invisible your realllly quiet. "

For preschoolers, yes. But it will not work with kindergarten kids, they are just mini teenagers at this point.

Can you give some ideas for a kiddo that 100% tunes out my voice and only has eyes and ears for other students! I have tried to include everyone and be super dramatic and give awesome compliments..

I did this once and my district manager say me holding their hands and said I should never touch a child like that because it can be perceived as I’m yelling at them.
