I don't think OP's an AH. He offered the venue rent free as long as he was in the wedding party. If they uninvited him from the wedding party they can find somewhere else to have the wedding.

Not the ah. It was a verbal contract and agreement. Venue for being involved. The payment, being involved, wasn't given. Cancellation of venue seems like a fair action
