![🚨 NEW SHOW ALERT 🚨 📆 Monday, October 12 at 9pm ET, on the feast of St. Carlo Acutis, CatholicTV is premiering our new original series, Praesentia. Praesentia is a new series on CatholicTV that showcases the Sacrament of the Eucharist and the doctrine of the True Presence; a teaching which, sadly, two-thirds of Catholics say they don’t believe. The series was inspired by St. Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager who was canonized by Pope Leo XIV in September 2025. Carlo devoted the last years of his short life to spreading devotion to the Eucharist, which he did primarily through sharing stories about Eucharistic miracles. To understand what a Eucharistic miracle is, we can look to St. Thomas Aquinas, one of the Church’s most influential theologians. In his Summa Theologica, Aquinas describes Eucharistic miracles this way: “While the dimensions [of the bread and wine] remain the same as before, there is a miraculous change wrought in the other accidents, such as shape, color, and the rest, so that flesh, or blood, or a child, is seen. . . it is done to represent the truth, namely, to show by this miraculous apparition that Christ’s body and blood are truly in this sacrament.” Download the CatholicTV app on your phone, tablet, or television to watch, or go to www.CatholicTV.org/praesentia](/video/cover/7694368808345128205.webp)
