can you name me any firm that could audit let's say Microsoft and give an unqualified opinion? I'm 70 years old I'm a CPA and I've never thought an audit was worth the papers written on.

Professional skepticism is at its lowest in the audit profession. Mainly due to profiteering from the auditors, inefficient audit workflows and inadequate resources.

It’s only going to get worse. Unfortunately the firms have to cut corners to meet deadlines.

I'm no accountant. I did SCM/Logistics. Audited 100% govt inventory. 2013 no one cared about +35% shrinkage. Most ppl have decided to put their heads in the sand. Think, a 1/4 of a million, poof, gone
