Once I left work all those friends and connections ceased. Had a lunch with some people that worked for me and all they did was complain. If your work pals still work expect to be invisible.

Retired at 55. Downsized to a cottage in a seaside village. Plenty of clubs to keep us busy plus the waterfront. Took a few years to earn respect of the elders by volunteering in town 😀

I’m 56 retired 9 months ago 55. Hubby still works. Mixe beeing busy with renovation over du , traveling and extra time spent at cottage. Amazing but so far, I spend a way too much 🙊

56-I love it! Watch grandbabies 1-2 days/week, travel, dine with friends, exercise (gym,bike or walk) most days, try new recipes, craft and love life! It’s the best!

62. Planned on retiring at 61 but kept delaying it. Has only been a month. Biggest prob is remembering I am retired. I still spend weekdays ‘up’ and have to remind myself, 50 times a day, to chill.

UK..67 ret age..decompress requ..feeling not doing enough...sense of drifting...not a struggle..swim daily, cycle, changed diet..finding my purpose and being authentic is enjoyable.

I retired at 61 from my job a PT. I was able to ease right into it. I retired in November so holidays just after I retired may have helped, plus not having to go to work in the winter months .

Retired at 67, 70 now. Never had second thoughts, love not working. Play with my dogs, do cross stitch, puzzles, watch TikTok, read, don’t get bored. Love not “having” to do anything.

My wife and I retired at 48. The best decision ever. We started travelling and enjoying life. Meeting new friends and loving every day. Some boredom but better than a 60+ hour work week.

Just retired in January at 55. Definitely struggling. As a teacher, I miss the kids but not the toxic workplace. Struggling with purpose even though I still kept a part time job. 😞
