These Healthy Homemade Cheez-its taste just as good as store-bought crackers, but made without the processed junk and additives. ✨Follow @simplyhealthymama for more simple + healthy recipes✨ Super easy and healthy homemade cheez-its! My boys LOVE these cheese crackers and request them weekly, which is why I recommend making a double batch. I pack them up for school snacks or they simply munch on them at home🧀 INGREDIENTS: 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 3 Tbsp grass-fed butter, cold 1 cup flour (I used Einkorn flour) 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/4 cup ice water Avocado oil + sprinkle of sea salt for topping 1. Preheat oven to 350F. 2. Using a food processor, pulse shredded cheese and butter until smooth. 3. Add flour and salt. Pulse until the mixture becomes crumbly. 4. Add cold water and pulse until the mixture resembles dough. 5. Roll out dough (about 1/8”) on parchment or silicone lined baking sheet. If your dough is too warm, add to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes. 6. Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut lines into dough to form squares. You can bake as is and separate crackers after baking (this will require you to bake middle pieces for a few min longer) OR separate them with space in between before baking. 7. Brush with a light coat of avocado oil and sprinkle with sea salt. 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Crackers are done when they are a medium golden brown. They should all be crispy, you may have to remove some from the oven and bake the rest for a few more min. *Store in an air-tight container for a few days or the fridge for a few weeks and ENJOY!* #cheezits #cheesecrackers #homemadesnack #homemadecrackers #copycatrecipe #footballsnacks #bakingreels #recipereels #healthysnacks #kidfriendly
