@livfuselli: The evolution of the relationship between Remi & her pups over 6 months 🤍 I was honestly a nervous reck when I first brought Remi home and introduced her to the dogs. Simba is very territorial and I just didn’t know how he would react. It was a super slow and nerve-racking introduction these past six months. We’ve worked on “place” which means him going to his bed when I tell him to. We practice “gentle” when he gets a little bit too excited. This word is used to calm him down, back up, and stop licking. We practice “off” to tell him to get down when he jumps. And his last command is “go”. I use this to tell him to leave the room. This has helped with both my confidence in him and confidence in himself! He really is her protector, he just needed a little guidance to understand how to navigate his new job! On the other hand, I had no worries about Nala. She does her own thing half the time and gets more interested with Remi by the day. She’s a typical big sister. all in all I’ve learned that you have to be patient with your dogs. It may not be picture perfect from the beginning.
