The cool thing about it being YOUR wedding is you can do whatever you want. People don’t NEED to bring someone to a wedding lol some people have small weddings with no plus ones at all

I love my friends, but traveling to and navigating an international destination wedding alone is mentally draining and expensive especially when you watch all of your other friends get to make a fun trip out of it with their SOs.

We were the same. Then changed to married & engaged & couples we knew the partner & people who knew no one else to be able to attend. Lost some friends as true colors showed but it was the right call

We did no +1s, everyone was invited by name. That didn’t mean that people didn’t have their partners there, we just invited them by name. But I wasn’t paying for someone to bring a random date.

I am also struggling with guest count, but after being the single person to EVERYONE’s wedding until I was 37, I am not forcing anyone else go through that.
