I lost a classmate from bacterial meningitis when she was 19. And I just lost a Firefighter friend who had it as well. So scary, so sad. I’m so glad you survived.

I had spinal meningitis when I was 14 months old. That was back in 1983. The mortality rate was roughly 85%. The rest was either being a vegetable the rest of your life, or blind or deaf. I was lucky.
