Probably one reason is that as you age you start loosing people. Freinds die. Parents die. Life changing events change life. Yours. Be smart when young so you can be wise when old.

by the time I was 19 I accepted my reality of not expecting anything from anyone, and the world. I stopped chasing friendships and other connections. I’m 27 now I just observe and take my time 🖤

At 65 id rather be around dogs than people. I don't call friends anymore. Dogs give more value.
