I would love to be able to walk to a local market for groceries every couple of days rather than having to plan a big trip to the mega store and shop for 1-2 weeks of food at a time!

Wouldnt public transportation also fix this? If the states had better public transportation such as subways, railways etc. wouldn’t we theoretically cut down traffic?

Look into the 401. An absolute traffic nightmare in Toronto Ontario Canada. So much cross city and commuter traffic with inter provincial traffic.

there's ring roads around lots of cities and they turn 8 miles of stop light traffic into 27 miles at 60mph or maybe stopping at any second. Just endless people driving more thinking it's faster

THIS! We are experiencing this in my city bc rent/housing is SO expensive so everyone has to come into the city to work. It’s gotten so much worse since housing went bonkers price wise

I live in a college town in WV. My neighborhood borders downtown and has just a coffee shop, dive, and 2 restaurants. There used to a couple grocers, a pharmacy, and service businesses.
