Army can give you a waiver but it’s not just the top secret clearance. There is also secret clearance. But there are plenty of jobs in Army u don’t need a secret clearance.

Problem with Merchant Marine is a lot of times you have to pay for all of your certs, renewals, refreshers, etc… it’s an expensive career path but it’s very friendly to people with records.

You can get a lot of jobs with just a secret clearance so if they are confident they can get you one you’ll be able to deploy and see some cool stuff but the only military members that go to “space”

Hey man follow your dreams and all that but I got rejected from the Marine Corps like 5 times for two weed misdemeanors, eventually they let me in but I also tried air force and they laughed me out of the room so good luck

Try the marine corps or anyother branch too, they will sign you a waiver for age if you can pass the physical assessment which you seem in shape
