@dr.harrietbaayeh: Though we have fancy grocery stores, many of us still prefer the traditional market setting. The food is fresh, organic, not preserved and comes straight from the farm. It’s busy and noisy but oh so Ghanaian! The hustle of the people, the vibrant spirit characterized by warmth, hospitality and an unyielding sense of community is all woven into the market scene. There is music playing, preachers preaching and a whole lot of bargaining lol Growing up, one of my favorite memories was going to the market with my mom.
