@sarahdawnmoore: 45 Second Read 1. Public perception of perfection but unpredictable behavior when in private (so you can be hyper critical of others and yourself, hiding your own weaknesses) 2. Her needs came before your own and you had to be there for hers (which gives you way more power and responsibility at a young age than you ever needed, so you gravitate towards women who need fixing) 3. Love was inconsistent and condtional meaning if you met her needs then all was well therefore, you recieved affection through transational accomplishments (You work to achieve love as an adult through acts of service) 4. She lived through your talents and accomplishments which was a reflection of her poor self esteem and self worth (you don't know what you actually enjoy because you did everything out of obligation) 5. Inability to self regulate her own emotions and in turn blamed you for her emotional discomfort (you will now fall on the sword for all of your relationship struggles) 6. Complete lack of accountability and inability to apologize for her part in upsetting you (co-dependency and find yourself with women who repeat these same behaviors) 7. Using guilt and shame as a means to control your behavior (look how much I've sacrificed for you, so now you will sacrifice yourself in the same way) 8. She would always bring conversation back to herself rather than being able to hold space for you (you have no idea now how attuen to your own emotional experience so you shut down or run) Comment PEACE if you'd like to recieve a link to my freebie or click link in bio to check out my community. If you want to understand this at a deeper level, these are the types of topics I cover in great detail within my community. You need to understand how to begin asserting your needs and understanding who you are by healing the wounds from your past or it will always get in the way of your future. Love you guys. Your sis Sarah

True! 🔥🔥 Please remember that through our healing we must still love our parents. I wish my counselor would have placed an emphasis on this. I don’t think we hear enough about this.

My then 15 year old son put his arm around his mother and threw his arm off and said " what are you doing"? I pulled her to the side and tried to tell her. Nothing worked. We have 5 kids.

Mine was good enough to apologize and admit it. She tried to boost my self esteem and think about what I want out of life. I’m lucky.

The drama of this existence is like living through sludge.... No matter how much I work on it it is still sticking to my identity and blocking me from consistent self acceptance and peace. I'm lost
