I think some of these are just actual clothing choices like Harry styles and David Bowie. Kurt Cobain trying to be funny. Also the skirt thing was stating to be a fashion trend for a little. a humiliation ritual is a lot more that wearing a skirt or kilt. it's when they have to do something that would completely humiliate them! David Bowie dressed how he wanted too like Freddy Mercury.
