This sounds similar to another case I watched recently about a woman experiencing fugue states and always ended up near water or in bodies of water. Maybe this was the case?

I think she might’ve been drugged since she didn’t have mental health issues mentioned, if she’s stressed and on drugs she can be in a bad trip and more if it was against her will, just a theory tho
