Saltwater is a corrosive and turns these batteries into a thermal runaway. Is this not being taught in school anymore?

EVs are just not ready yet. I know they want to make things green, but the tech needs to be improved dramatically first.

So in states that get snow the salty water on the roads after a snow could potential do the same?

because salt water is electrolitically conductive, it's and amperage magnifier. so it dramatically enhances the shorting process of any type of battery.

it's a real shame that the leading electric cars in the market is Tesla I feel like there's so many things wrong with them but if a company really wanted to they could perfect them.

I mean it’s a completely different system than a normal car of course it’s gonna have its own problem set and shit that it can’t do, it’s a little bit of a stretch to blame the car for pretty extreme

They never talk about how lithium batteries are reactive to water and burn like crazy. You can’t even put them out. Like you said, they burn themselves out.

why is the fire 'licking up the side' of the Tesla, like, if there was a flammable liquid on it, not like a lithium battery fire which is more energetic and localised?

Your phone will actually do that as well, that's why it's not a good idea to bring them on the Beach unless you have a super expensive waterproof case.

Salt water conducts electricity, which can damage Tesla's battery, leading to short circuits, causing internal heat buildup that may trigger a fire.
