@eanesinteriors: Mum hack! Mums are beautiful seasonal flowers, but they can be difficult unless you know how to take care of them. Here are some tips that will keep them looking great all season long! 1. Mums are root drinkers. Do NOT water from the top. Instead, they like to be watered from the roots/soil. 2. Soak the mums for 20-30 minutes in a bucket of water. If the mum pot has a hole in the bottom, this will help to saturate their roots if you prefer not to water with a garden hose. I set a timer and save my bucket of water for reuse. 3. When is it time to water again? When the soil dries out, which can happen quickly if you’re in a warmer climate like me (Georgia). 4. When choosing mums, make sure to select the ones that have lots of buds, but have not fully bloomed quite yet so they can last longer!
