Pain over your cesarean scar? You should try scar tissue mobilization! If your incision isn’t directly healed over, you should work on either side of the scar tissue. Once the incision is fully healed with all scabbing and sutures gone you can start gently working directly over your scar.  You will want to start closer to the surface of the skin breaking the scar up into quadrants. Move the scar up, down and side to side holding each direction for 30-60 seconds each. Then gently push deeper into the scar repeating the above steps.  You can next bring the scar tissue together, gently stretch it apart, twist it upwards and downwards making a “c” with the scar, and then keeping these shapes you can also then tack the tissue moving it up, down, and side to side for 30-60 seconds each direction.
