girl this Is ME. I've had to do this COUNTLESS times bc of my RCPD and its horrible but I won't get the Botox treatment bc I'm a singer and I'm scared it will effect my singing!

I also have RCPD and I do the same. It's soo loud and annoying. Even if I close the door everyone hears it in the apartment. But still, I have to do it every day. 😭😭

I get the worst lump feeling in the back of my throat and feels like I can’t get enough breath..I have emetaphobia so doing what you do is almost impossible for me. I usually use a heating pad andwait

I have this. It can be caused by stress. Botox injection in the throat has helped many. Go to a ENT doctor for this.

I have this never been diagnosed assumed i just hadn't learnt, but my gosh the pain. I had to give up drinking alcohol for this very reason coz making myself gag was the only way to stop the pain.

Not that you asked but my mom said it was something she knew something was wrong when I was very little. She would tell the doctors “it’s like she can’t burp..”

Had this my whole life. It got painful to where I had to manually trigger the gag reflex to “throw up” the trapped air. Something about doing that made it so I can burp now! 29 years of this

People literally don’t understand how frustrating it is, to have to get that close to being sick JUST to burp. I’ve convinced myself of heart attacks before realising I need to burp 😫

I grew up with nausea as my main symptom and I spent a LOT of time in the bathroom, sometimes dry heaving loudly. I’m so sorry it’s so bad. It definitely takes a toll on mental health.
