I have had my F150 for almost 15 years and have about 115K miles on it. I’m waiting for the market to crash before I buy something new.

The problem is due to planned obsolescence not many cars will make it to 8 years without major repairs. And if your neighbor can afford to cycle cars before the problems start they are the smart ones

That means you only have about 5 cars in your adult life from 20-70. What if you really love the experience of cars and make sacrifices elsewhere?

I don’t even like my cars till I hit 200k. Then I buy reliable cars from your neighbors at a significant discount because they took the depreciation hit.

Fact: a car is a depreciating asset, no matter the logo… First things first you have to determine what works for you financially and your lifestyle, make a decision, take action
