Workers that are THIS essential should be HIGHLY PAID. CEOs paying pennies act surprised when workers strike.

I really don't want automation to continue until we've fixed some stuff in out govt and society. bc once we as ppl are no longer needed for work we are then completely expendable.

Yes. They are definitely gonna put the blame on the strikers. Bit union sentiment is stronger than it's been in a very long time

I am not getting a clear answer in what they are already paid. But I'm hearing anywhere between 100,000k a year to 250,000k a year. I don't think I'm on their side.

This is proper capitalism bargaining for one’s own labor worth though I do still want automation to advance as it will make dangerous jobs much less dangerous

I’m for higher wages, anti no automation. We can’t protect jobs from technology, but we can train and adapt those jobs as the tech gets better and more efficient

I do favor automation for some processes because it does take people out of harms way, I think the union needs to negotiate for retraining for many of their members to learn to technologies

there is no greedy ceo, most ports in the US are owned by government entities. the head of the ila already makes 700k+ a year is a multi millionaire. a lot of longshoremen already make 150-200k a yr
