Hyperfixating on songs has taught me that sometimes pitch is attached to memory. There are some songs that I will never sing off key bc I know them so well

I have a question. So when I sing I think I sound good but then with voice memo I sound like my voice isnt pretty. Is that what I sound like to others and am I not a pretty singer?

i taught myself to be a somewhat ok singer by just copying songs then once i had the song memorised/sang it enough, singing it + my own twists on it. I definitely think it’s helped me!!

i can tell where notes are relative to each other but i kinda just start singing and keep to that key without any regard for whether its correct

Most don’t know. There are successful singers who are garbage but people just like them. Being great at singing is usually for the individual

I know true tone deafness is rare, but ive gotten pretty consistent comments about how bad. Including “did you know you were harmonizing?” People trying to sing loudly in my face because I’m so off.

Breathing with the stomach is so hard. I feel it makes it difficult but I can’t sing an entire song without feeling out of breath 😅

I'm a bad singer I can't even get a simple technique down. even damaged my voice. I always wanted to sing but I can't stay comfortable. so maybe it's not for me. I didn't manage to try one skill In years.
