Hi everyone! This week, we welcomed Olive, a two month old calico (a rescue). The first few days were a bit rocky and Pudding had some trouble adjusting. He has always been the baby so he was definitely not happy to see her at first. He took to not eating for the first few days and also got a stomatitis flare up. This can be due to both stress as well as possibly a little virus that Olive may have brought in. We did go to consult our vet and he was given some medications to help ease the pain of the stomatitis. Today (Sunday) he is doing much better. He is eating normally once again and he is even beginning to play with Olive. Onyx isn’t quite ready yet to play but she doesn’t seem to mind being in the same room with her or even sitting close to her. Although she too is a bit stressed out, she seems to be handling it better than Pudding. Olive is like Oreo in many ways. They share the same birthday (August 25th) and Olive has one black toe bean on her left front paw just like Oreo did. She seems to like human foods as well and has already expressed her liking for cheese, toast, perogies, pizza and arugala. I look forward to seeing her grow and to the others becoming better friends with her. ~ Tina
