My daughter got a hip to knee replacement at 13 years old 😭 due to cancer I will never complain about anything again after what’s she’s been through 😭

Mine was done in 2019 and since then my hip has dislocated 30+ times. I can’t locate my original surgeon so now I must find a skilled orthopedic surgeon who is willing to do it, most will not replace one they didn’t originally do. Sucks cause it’s extremely painful when it dislocates and now it almost slips out.

I highly recommend being awake for this surgery, i was and i asked if i could watch the thing in the reflection of the OR light that wasnt on, this was one of the most interesting things i’ve seen

After getting to my room, I was walking to the commode 2 hours later. Nerve racking cause u think something will dislocate but not bad

also you have to imagine that during the actual surgery the bones are still inside all of the soft tissue and connected to the rest of the body, not those perfect clean and prepped bones

I’m have pain too and supposed to have THR; but… most days even though I’m wheelchair bound i feel like this pain is more manageable than dealing w infections, discomfort & dislocations. I see more issues than successes. Would love to hear your thoughts. 💚💚🥰
