I’ve always done this over email so the staff member doesn’t have to have the awkward face to face confrontation. Also - send the email just before home time so they then don’t have to work paranoid

yes with an older volunteer. turns out he only had a bath and was struggling to get in and out and so wasn't washing. had to get SS involved to get him a seat and eventually a wet room.

I have had to have this conversation twice at different jobs with people I have managed. It’s hard but with kindness and support both individuals were ok with me speaking to them about it. ❤️
