@therabbitpals: Two years ago in October, I brought home my first bunny. By November, I’d started my rabbit account, proud and excited, thinking I’d chosen the most controversy-free topic. Who could possibly have a problem with bunnies? Little did I know. The critics came fast—traditionalists, breeders, service dog handlers. How could you let your rabbit outside? You’re going to break its back! How could you bathe a rabbit? You’re going to kill it! The hate was relentless, almost daily. It felt like every time I opened my phone, there was a new wave of judgment crashing down. But I stood tall. I didn’t start this journey to play by the old rules. I didn’t want to follow traditions that didn’t align with the life I wanted for my rabbits. I wanted to push forward, to create real change. And yes, I took the heat. I knew deep down that I wasn’t alone. Through all that criticism, something beautiful emerged—a community. A community that loves intensely, believes deeply, and is committed to improving the lives of rabbits in ways most never thought possible. We didn’t just survive the storm. We rose above it. For every harsh comment, there’s been someone who believed. Together, we’ve created a space where we challenge the norms and declare that bunnies deserve more—more love, more freedom, more life. This hasn’t been easy. But through every tear and every challenge, I’ve learned we’re not here just to endure, but to transform. To fight for something vulnerable and say—scream—that rabbits deserve better. Two years later, we are stronger than ever. We’re not just rabbit owners. We’re advocates, warriors, building a future where rabbits don’t just live—they thrive.
