Watching this, I’m reminded that I sort of felt this way reading them as a child! Some of the fashion and slang felt a bit off… but I just assumed I was the one who was uncool 😂

I also found it weird how invested they were in stuff that happened at school, teachers etc. I’m 37 and honestly would struggle to remember the names of half the teachers I had 🤷🏽♀️

I made a list as a I read it of all the most poorly written and cringey lines/phrases. This book has lived rent-free in my head ever since I finished it weeks ago, IN A VERY BAD WAY. I found it to be a complete insult to the readers' collective intelligence. I can't believe no one advised JW that this book needed editing/rewriting/throwing off a cliff prior to publication.
