Patrick Ryder on Tuesday said the U.S. coordinated closely with Israeli forces to defend against an Iranian attack on multiple locations within Israel. He said U.S. Navy destroyers fired about a dozen interceptors against incoming missiles and that no U.S. personnel were injured or harmed. Israel was able to intercept most of the missiles and there are no reports of injuries on the ground. “We condemn these reckless attacks by Iran, and we call on Iran to halt any further attacks, including from its proxy forces,” the Pentagon spokesman said. “To be crystal clear, as Secretary Austin has said, should Iran, its partners or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the U.S. will take every necessary measure to defend our people.” #pentagon #dod #usmilitary #cspan
