The US got rid of antennas years ago. It was free back then. We have cable and streaming services now and it’s not free. I am old and grew up when there were 3 channels (free).

I live in an apartment (Flat) and included in the rental price is the satellite TV. The Satellite company also offers additional packages with additional programming, that you psy more for.

Live tv is essentially free in the US but if you want special channels like Disney channel Nickelodeon you have to buy cable. Do you need a license to watch Netflix?

I have an antenna 📡 on my roof and get several hundred free tv channels plus I bought a massive LG TV and that comes with 1,000 free LG TV channels to watch. but have to have internet to watch the LG channels so we just pay for internet and that's it.

In the US, you can have an antenna and watch over the air live tv. No cost, otherwise you pay for TV service streaming or cable to watch many channels.

It’s all private in the States & many areas have only one provider who can charge what they want. Like most have mentioned it’s about $150-$200 a month + the cost of internet.

We paid more than that per year, just to watch television, we go through places like DIRECTV, Xfinity, and a few others that usually pay about $200 per month to watch television. But if you don’t wanna watch that you can watch over the television for free with a television antenna.
