I was so afraid of this happening! from 8 weeks I would make loads of happy noises and praise her wildly whenever she picked something up, so it became habit for her to bring me things, never to steal

my dog had this one time a while back, i didnt know what it was so when i wanted to take it he sort of bit me i had a line of his tooth sliding across my hand. good to know i know what to do next time

My 4 month old puppy sometimes eats food left on the side (even after being soft for a very short amount of time) he will growl and bite like crazy and will injure BADLY if you try to take it. 1/?

When my puppy was around 3-4 months old she growled at me and ran away when I tried to take two things away from her. She hasn’t done this sense so I’m thinking she was just too young to have the things I gave her!

in my experience, when i would trade the item with a treat, my dog would go and find more things shes not allowed to have because she knows she’ll get a treat for it. What should I do instead?

I would always hold things like carrots, chews etc while my dog was a puppy. It meant he was always happy for me to touch things and helped build our bond 💜
