chestnuts went extinct in the USA but they exist outside of the USA! for Christmas, there's street vendors selling them in Spain at least. they taste like mashed potatoes to me

i love roasted chestnuts 😩 in germany during Christmas market they have a guy with a wood fired oven stand that sells them in a bag, i can never recreate them like that though
