We had a settlement recently for having PFAS dumped nearby our houses my the Australian military. The lawyers ate up nearly all the settlement payout with ‘consultation fees’ and ‘valuation fees’.

Well each claimant in the class has to have their own individual assessment of the 5 heads of damages to determine the amount they should be paid. No one ever gets the amount assessed.
