Her MF Blackberry Gin is definitely an elixir with magical ingredients, but I know some people are sober, so I’ll be sharing a nonalcoholic version tomorrow 🥂 ✨ In Grimoire Girl, Hilarie mentions being inspired by Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic, so there are elements of that in this drink as well (& thank you to the amazing Lizzie for organizing this last year! What a DREAM 🌙 ✨) Inspired by Grimoire Girl, with ingredients from magical gems inside the book, this is a witches brew to stir the magic within. Sip as you reflect on memories, wisdom, and spells gleaned along your bewitching path (How perfect for Samhain?!), as you read Grimoire Girl and set out to write your own collection of magical knowledge~ (full explanation of drink in blog) 🧹A Witch’s Heart Cocktail 🧙🏻‍♀️🍸✨: -1 smoked rosemary sprig -1/2-2/3 oz maple syrup (depending on the brand—I found 2/3 to be best) -2/3 oz lemon juice -1 oz chilled rose tea (1/2 tbsp dried rose petals to 1/2 cup hot water) -1.5 oz @mflibations Blackberry Gin -1/2 oz maraschino liqueur -2 dashes angostura bitters -egg white (optional) -Dried rose petals & rosemary sprig (garnish) DIRECTIONS +Smoke rosemary sprig (optional). Add to shaker & cover until next ingredient. If not a fan of smoked flavors, just add fresh rosemary +Add in all ingredients. +If using egg white, shake without ice first before proceeding +Add ice & shake. +Strain over ice or into stemmed glassware +Garnish with rose petal crescent moon.
