This. My friends and I vent about work things a fair amount, but that's mostly things that are outside our control. And almost never something that would be solved by moving jobs (and the pros of current job outweigh pros of leaving even if moving jobs would solve that specific issue)

I think what people want is the space to feel their upset with someone safe and maybe then they'll be open to solutions but they need to process the emotions that come with facing an issue
