@ravenreveals: Marcellus Williams’ case highlights just how dire the hypercr!minalization of Black people is in the U.S. Despite being only 13.7% of the population (Source: U.S. Census Bureau), Black people make up 41% of those on 💀 row (Source: Pew Research Center). This SYSTEMIC injustice is fueled by rac!al bias, flawed legal practices, and the crim!nalization of Black bodies. AND YET, we continue to be gaslit into believing this is due to some personal communal failing. It’s not. It is my personal belief that a practice this unethical shouldn’t exist AT ALL.
