I think it’s more to do with “not touching anything with outside surface of the gloves” in the medical field, so that you don’t contaminate what you will be touching.

i go through like 100 pairs a day (not an exageration) and eventually you learn to just put then on like any other glove, this seems unnecessary

You have to wash your hands b4 putting on gloves and the gloves stick even if you really dry your hands also I work with adults with learning disabilities in the kitchen & getting gloves on them is 😅

I just wear mittens. Mittens are multi-purpose. They don't have finger holes to deal with.
