Time for me to open up about @Khairulaming —another side of him that many might not know. Four years ago, I decided to create content about veganism during the lockdown when I was a new vegan and couldn't return to work. I had no idea where to start or who to look up to. It was tough, with many sleepless nights and tears because I felt stuck. I doubted whether this was the right path for me, but deep down, I was passionate about sharing the beauty of veganism through impactful content. During that period, I started following Khairul Aming. I loved how he made his videos and felt his passion for creating beautiful content. As a chef, I connected to food from a different perspective, and I felt that deeply from Khairul Aming's videos. I admired his work and became a big fan, seeing him as a role model. His work not only made me his fan but also inspired thousands of people. Many of you have commented on my videos, calling me

Many of you have commented on my videos, calling me "the Indian version of Khairul Aming." Each time, I felt blessed by such comments, even though Khairul Aming and I had never met or talked on social media. I feared he might not even know who I was. About two years ago, I was invited to a TikTok Raya open house, and I realized Khairul Aming was coming too. I was excited and nervous, knowing that many famous content creators would be there. But I was really just looking forward to meeting him. At the event, I saw many people taking pictures with him, and he seemed busy. I was afraid to disturb him, so I just watched from a distance. The magical moment happened when he passed by my table and greeted me before I could say hi. He recognized me and asked how I was doing. I was touched by his simple gesture and felt blessed that someone I looked up to recognized and appreciated my work. I couldn't stop talking and thanking him for being an inspiration. I even asked if I could give him a hug, and he said yes! It felt like a fanboy moment. Meeting him in person made me incredibly happy, and it felt like all my efforts had been recognized. Later, at another TikTok event in Penang, I unexpectedly ran into him again near Nasi Kandar Beratur. We also met at the TikTok Awards, where both of us were nominated in different categories. Although I didn't win, I was thrilled that Khairul Aming won. He encouraged me beautifully and even let me hold his award trophy for a picture. His humility overwhelmed me. Fast forward, ChefDave VeganJourney now has about 3 million followers on social media. This success wouldn't have been possible without someone like Khairul Aming as an inspiration. There have been many supporters on my journey, but Khairul Aming holds a special place for being a role model and a kind, humble soul. Recently, TikTok approached me for a Creator Camp. Initially, I couldn't join due to other commitments, but I rearranged my schedule. Khairul Aming was one of the guest speakers! I was excited to learn directly from him for two days. He inspired me to continue and improve my work. Knowing him both online and offline, I've seen how hardworking, smart, and humble he is. He never hesitates to share knowledge and works hard to achieve his success. I'm sharing this story to let Khairul Aming know he is an amazing person and an inspiration to us Malaysians. I hope one day I get to cook with my idol. Please pray for me! This is the Khairul Aming that I know. I hope the rest of Malaysia sees this beautiful, humble soul too—a silent teacher who inspires many. #TikTokCreatorCampMY #ChefDaveVeganJourney
