True! I used tea tree oil under my armpit for a small ingrown, and I got a severe rash/burn .I had to get hydrocortisone 2% prescription for relief.

I use it all the time diluted and I'm still alive. Mix it with a carrier oil. Simple. It's not toxic if used appropriately.
