@shinypretties: With the help of some amazing friends, my fiance and I were able to take supplies to Spruce Pine, Bakersville, and Burnsville, NC today. I love my state. I love my childhood home. My heart breaks for the loss of both life and livelihood. Appalachia will heal, though - our people and community are strong. Keep NC in your heart, folks - we need you.
