How to actually release perfectionism⬇️ We hold onto perfectionism because our brains believe that imperfection = unsafe. So in order to release that inner pressure, we’ve got to shift our brain’s association with it! Here are 3 ways you can do that: ✨1. Do one thing every day *imperfectly on purpose*. Color outside the lines in a coloring book, misspell a word in an email, sing off key. Start getting comfy with not being perfect and the more you do this, the more your brain will trust that it’s OKAY to not be perfect all the time. (Warning: you might actually start having fun with this process 🙃) ✨2. Start noticing where imperfection ADDS to your life. Where does it make things beautiful? How does imperfection make life funny or amusing? Show your brain that it actually has VALUE. ✨3. Celebrate your small wins. Release the pressure you have on yourself by recognizing just how much you are already doing for yourself. Give yourself a high five or say “YAY!!” every time you complete small tasks. Show yourself that you’re worthy of celebrating.
