We stopped by Canele du Japon Sakuragawa on our last evening in Osaka, as I was craving something sweet—and they did not disappoint! We arrived at the store a little after 5 PM, and I was *lowkey panicking* because the shop looked half-closed. We went inside to ask the storekeeper if there were any canelés left, and she informed us they were all sold out at the moment. However, she kindly suggested we place an order and return to the store in an hour to pick them up. When we returned to collect our canelés, we bumped into a couple who entered the shop just 3 minutes after us. Unfortunately, they didnt manage to get their canelés as the store had closed for the day (really grateful that we managed to get our canelés, especially since it was our final night in Osaka). Ps: Try not to go too late as they might run out of canelés. They are open every day from 10 AM to 7 PM, except on Wednesdays. We tried the beautiful canelés and they were exceptional—soft and aromatic on the inside with a light, crisp exterior. Each flavor had its own distinct charm and character. I absolutely loved the texture of the canelés and appreciated how the pastry brought out the flavors so well. Not only were they delicious, but they were also incredibly affordable—we paid just 1,300 yen for a box of 8! It was such a steal?!! Ps: Sone of the flavours are seasonal, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see the same flavours in store when you are there. The store also offers its own line of merchandise, which was absolutely adorable. (I regret not getting their socks 😭💔) If you’re in Osaka and craving a sweet treat, I highly recommend dropping by this store!
