with kids, it's worth leaving. I drove 17 hours with 2 toddlers and it's definitely a journey. leave an hour or so before bed time and buy some car DVD players.

From someone that's been there, I know the evacuations suck and seem pointless when you come back and everything is fine. But the 1 time we stayed, we lost 3 loved ones. Be safe brother.

10+ hours with kids in a car is WAY better than the potential risk to your families safety. Better to be slow, but heading somewhere safe.

Take the 10 hour trip, just leave, as soon as you can, take important papers/few things youll need, take pictures of your house inside/out, and LEAVE. Listen to your gut man❤️
